A place for relaxing
Magical Marrakech Medina: a vast labyrinth of small streets, dead ends and long vaulted corridors branching out to infinity then disappearing like roots into a chaotic mass of houses. The dust becomes denser and the streets narrower, the blind walls go by, letting only the ornate hobnailed doors appear.
In Morocco, the entrance to any house designed in line with Moroccan architecture is like a passage from one world to another. It is a antechamber to pass from light to shade, from excitement to calm. All the same the entrance to the « Riad » is very important and constitutes a passage that filters domestic life from the public Moroccan life of the medina. After crossing the large and mysterious corridors we are in another universe, a world of silence, clarity and the scent of sweet oranges perfumes the air. Here we are in the patio, the centre of the Moroccan house, beside the swimming pool, at the heart of the Riad. Enjoy the visit...
