Apart from classical Arabic which is the language of education, the Civil Service and the media, the everyday language in Morocco is an arabic dialect.
Spoken Moroccan Arabic (darija) is considerably different from the Arabic spoken in the Middle East. Various Berber dialects are also widely spoken in the Moroccan countryside and particularly in the mountain villages.

In Marrakech most Moroccans speak French, and many of them English and Spanish.

• no : la
• thank you : choukran, baraka hallaoufik      
• you're welcome : afwan
• hello : es salam alaïkoum
(answer : alaïkoum salam)
• how are you ? : labès ?
• goodbye : b'slama
• that's enough : safi, baraka
• ok : wakha
(prononce 'kh' as 'j' in spanish)
