The Marrakech National Popular Arts Festival
Around mid June the heart of Marrakech starts to beat faster and stronger by the rhythms of the folkloric companies coming from all over the country. In the El Badi Palace ruins various performances recreate the mysterious and bewitched atmosphere of the "Thousand and One Nights" while reflecting the diversity and authenticity of the Moroccan people. Twenty five carefully selected national troops (like The Guedra of Goulimine ,Akellal, Haha, the desert cameleers,...) perform for about ten days together with foreign companies from Spain,Turkey, Saudia Arabia, Italy...). Each spectacle ends with a dazzling firework.


The Marrakech International Film Festival
It is the most important film festival in Morocco. It is a long-awaited event which takes place in September each year with a choice programme, forums, film analysis, and awards.



The moussem of Sidi Mohammed M'a al-Ainin
Many celebrations (moussems and amouggars) punctuate the summer season, particularly among the Berbers. The moussem of Sidi Mohammed M'a al-Ainin is one of the most important. The gathering of tribes is an opportunity to see the "blue people", the nomadic Touaregs of the Sahara area. In general the moussems take place in the end of May or in the beginning of June. In June there is a moussem in Goulimine with a big camel market, not forgetting the moussem of Setti Fatma, in the Ourika valley, south of Marrakech.
